Les voyages d'Ibn Battûta

Ibn Battuta is the Marco Polo of the East. At the beginning of the 14th century, Ibn Battuta, a Berber native of Tangier, roamed over 70,000 miles, exploring the Islamic world from Timbuktu to Bulgaria, Egypt, and more than twenty other countries. Another native of Tangier, the Moroccan author Lotfi Akalay, tells the story of this rihla (journey), with images by Joel Allessandra, an illustrator and traveler who has visited and drawn most of the countries covered by the legendary explorer.
